A special kind of Cnc machining stainless steel,is the 11SMnPb37 | AVP, suitable for mechanical processing at high speed. The greatest field of its use is the production of small parts, or of mechanical parts for which the end use does not require high mechanical strength. Because of its physical and chemical characteristics (such as the content of sulfur and phosphorus), it is not intended to heat treatment and even recommended for welding.
The Steel 11SMnPb37 | AVP is also said automatic steel and possesses a high index of workability. It is specifically designed to be worked on automatic machines by removal of high-speed chip, such as CNC machining stainless steel. Its sulfur content ensures the chip fragmentation, while the lead reduces the friction between tool and workpiece, extending the life of the tools and allowing the machining stainless steel to achieve the high machining speed. Automatic steel is usually supplied in bars or rolls without heat treatment, although some types can be reclaimed, normalized or annealed before finishing. The bars can have a section comprised between 5 and 100 millimeters.
